Who knows where my feet are wandering?

Where the end of my path?

My feet have a life of their own

But they tell me nothing

What is in the luggage that I carry on my journey?

Why cannot I seem to look at it?

All I know it is on my back

And I can feel its weight

I have no memory of setting out on this trip

I am tired and hungry and lonely

My parents’ home is far away

Lost in the distance back yonder

I am here

In this silent world

I am here

And I have no words
